Dave Gregorka

Dave is an experienced operations executive and entrepreneur who has successfully taken multiple businesses from start-up to commercial success. He has raised over $20 million in venture capital and grants, and has expertise in new ventures leadership, fund raising, M&A, corporate administration, technology management, financial leadership, client services, and operations management.

Dave is a Venture Partner for Baird Capital, representing the firm in Michigan. He is also an active angel investor. Dave is very involved in the new venture community in Southeast Michigan, chairs the External Advisory Board of the University of Michigan Weil Institute for Critical Care Research and Innovation, serves on the boards of Genomenon and Neochord, and regularly volunteers his services to start-ups and others in the entrepreneurial community.

Dave co-founded HealthMedia, Inc. in 1998 and held various roles, including the company’s Chief Financial Officer and Operations VP. Johnson & Johnson acquired HealthMedia in 2008. Dave was part of J&J’s Wellness & Prevention executive team for four years following the acquisition. In prior roles, he was part of the start-up team for an organization that developed tools for managing large data sets and was on the management team of an international third-party certification organization for public health and environmental standards. Recent former board roles include the Monroe-Brown Biomedical Seed Fund, Invest Michigan, MI Bioresearch, Strata Oncology, NeuMoDx Molecular, Kinetica Labs, and the MTRAC Lifesciences Oversight Committee.

Dave holds a BS in Biology-Geology from the University of Rochester, an MS in Water Resources Management from the University of Michigan, and an MBA from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business.
