Karen Studer-Rabeler, a pooled Mentor-in-Residence, is a seasoned technology business professional applying her broad experience to catalyze life science technology commercialization at state universities. She has a broad base of experience to draw from encompassing product development, project management, technology commercialization, as well as marketing and field sales in both large and small companies. Most recently, she directed the Michigan Translational Research and Commercialization (MTRAC) Program for AgBio and from 2000-2007 managed the New Business Development Group at Innovation Partnerships at the University of Michigan while personally assisting in the creation of new businesses based on university technology during a pivotal time in the development of the Program. As Vice President of Business Development at Coy Laboratory Products, she expanded their life science tool offering with successful launches of both internally developed products and distribution of complimentary international partner products. Karen holds a BS degree in Microbiology from Michigan State University.
