Michael Brandt

Michael is a psychopharmacologist with over 23 years of pharma experience. He holds a BS in psychology from Hope College and a PhD in pharmacology from Louisiana State University Medical School. Michael’s doctoral research focused on the abuse potential and analgesic role of opioids in animal models. He completed his postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School / McLean Hospital. He spent over 12 years conducting PK/PD drug research and development for large pharma (Wyeth Neuroscience and Johnson & Johnson Analgesics) where he led two new molecular entities into clinical trials. Michael has held an adjunct faculty position at Drexel University College of Medicine and served as reviewer for NIH grant programs. Michael has published 40 peer-reviewed articles, has presented his findings at numerous national conferences and has received numerous awards. Michael has 11 years of experience in medical communications in multiple therapeutic areas.
