Outstanding Service Award 2020

Chuck Cole, Associate Director of Ventures, is the 2020 recipient of U-M Innovation Partnerships’s Jessica Soulliere Outstanding Service Award. This award is named for our colleague, Jessica Soulliere, who was a trusted and valued colleague with an exceptional work ethic and a strong commitment to providing exceptional service. Chuck was selected for the award as a recognition that he embodies the motto of going above and beyond. In his role as Associate Director of Ventures, Chuck is responsible for guiding and assisting U-M startups being formed to commercialize U-M research discoveries. Chuck masterfully serves as both an advocate for the team, and a realist who is adept at managing expectations, all the while bringing the voice of experience from his years of leading his own startup. Chuck deftly steps in to help settle challenging disputes, making himself available on nights and weekends when needed to support the success of the team. exceptional service and relentless positivity.
