Jeffrey A. Jamison, Ph.D. is an experienced drug development executive specializing in preclinical strategy, IND-enabling programs, and early-stage therapeutics commercialization. With over two decades of experience spanning roles at Alcon, Pfizer, and multiple entrepreneurial ventures, Dr. Jamison has successfully bridged the gap between academic research and commercial therapeutics. He co-founded ONL Therapeutics, helping to secure over $3M in early stage SBIR funding and advancing the peptide ONL-1204 from concept to clinic. In addition, Dr. Jamison also founded and sold two companies, Ophthy-DS (a preclinical service company) and AcuiSee (an animal diagnostic device company). As owner of the CRO Ophthy-DS, Dr. Jamison worked with countless academic spinouts to help them meet critical preclinical milestones and successfully secure SBIR funding to advance early-stage therapeutics. Most recently serving as Director of Pharmacology and Chief Development Officer at Experimentica, he has extensive expertise in CRO management, translational research, biomarker development, and cross-functional team leadership.
Throughout his career, Dr. Jamison has been committed to mentoring emerging scientists and entrepreneurs, helping students and early-career researchers navigate the complexities of drug development as well as commercialization. He holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Michigan with a concentration in Visual Neuroscience and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Wayne State University. Dr. Jamison’s career reflects a unique combination of scientific rigor, business acumen, and entrepreneurial drive focused on advancing therapeutics that address unmet medical needs.
