Kate Remus has 15+ years of strategy, general management and operating experience in medical device and life sciences businesses.

Most recently, Kate launched Halley Orthopedics, a medical device startup disrupting the $7B knee replacement market with patented technology that dramatically reduces cost while transforming the patient experience and improving treatment outcomes. The company was Automation Alley’s 2015 Startup of the Year.

Previously, Kate was a Principal at Monitor Group, a global corporate-strategy consulting firm, where she helped clients find and unlock new sources of growth. Kate has worked extensively in retail, biotech and pharma, with a focus on new business development.

Kate earned a Bachelor of Science with honors from Georgetown University (International Business & Computer Science) and was a Dean’s Fellow and Falls Prize recipient at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill (MBA, Healthcare Entrepreneurship & Finance). A native of Southeast, Michigan, Kate has traveled and worked extensively across Europe, South America and Asia and is excited to be anchored closer to home. Kate lives in Brighton, MI and has a retreat in Harbor Springs where she enjoys golfing, kayaking and skiing.
