2024 Annual Impact Report: Innovation Partnerships Celebrates A Record-Breaking Year of Research Commercialization

Innovation Partnerships is pleased to present our annual report for Fiscal Year 2024, which contains highlights of our office’s performance as well as stories of impact from across the University of Michigan’s research enterprise.

Research led by University of Michigan faculty and researchers generated a record-breaking 615 new invention reports last year, a feat that rarely has been achieved by any research commercialization office in the country. Additionally, 28 startup companies were launched to support the commercialization of U-M research discoveries. At Innovation Partnerships, we are honored to support our community of U-M innovators in their efforts to ensure their research and scholarly activities have a positive societal impact. We value our role in serving this community and building on the University of Michigan’s legacy of successful technology commercialization. Together, we continue to redefine how world-class university research can fuel a region and address the world’s greatest challenges.
