Accelerate Blue Fund Celebrates One Year Launch Anniversary

7/22/2022

On Wednesday, May 11, 2022, Innovation Partnerships celebrated the one-year anniversary of the launch of the Accelerate Blue Fund (ABF) with a memorable evening of great food and amazing music.

Accelerate Blue Fund Strategic Advisory Board members, Don and Anaïs Hicks, graciously offered to host at their venue, the Blue LLama Jazz Club. Guests were treated with the stylish ambiance and inspired cuisine, as well as the musical stylings of the Brendon Davis Trio. Throughout the evening, guests heard from prominent ABF supporters and a few of the many outstanding startup founders that got their start at the University of Michigan.

A great time was had by all at the Blue LLama that night, with many well wishes for the continued success of the Accelerate Blue Fund

About The Accelerate Blue Fund

The Accelerate Blue Fund is an early stage venture fund that exclusively invests in University of Michigan licensed startups.

The goal of Accelerate Blue is to bridge the funding gap between initial launch and angel/VC funding for startups based on University of Michigan intellectual property (IP). The Fund is an opportunity to further enhance U-M’s leadership position in research, technology innovation and commercialization by creating a critical new resource to support U-M startups. In addition to risk tolerant early stage capital, ABF provides extensive business mentoring and IP support through Innovation Partnerships at the University of Michigan.
